India’s star cricketer Shardul Thakur had to go to the hospital directly from the field during the Irani Cup match being played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Mumbai’s all-rounder Shardul Thakur came out to bat in the Irani Cup match despite having a fever of 102 degrees. He along with Sarfaraz Khan (221 not out) made a partnership of 73 runs for the ninth wicket. Thakur scored 36 runs in 59 balls by hitting four fours and a six.

Shardul Thakur was taken to the hospital immediately after he was out. Where his malaria and dengue tests were done. At present, his report is awaited. He was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday night. No report has come out yet regarding his return to the field. Earlier Shardul Thakur had a mild fever but after spending 2 hours in the field, it increased. He took a break twice, after which the medical team arrived to examine him.

Doctors will decide today whether he is fit to play in the Irani Cup match or not. According to unknown sources, ‘Shardul Thakur was not feeling well since the beginning of the day. Due to a high fever, he took medicine and slept in the dressing room. Due to this, he came to bat late. At present, his reports for malaria and dengue are awaited. Till then he will be under the observation of doctors.
