ICC Connects Board: Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly and former BCCI secretary Jay Shah have been included in the new ICC team. Jay Shah is also the current chairman of the ICC. Both have been given a place on the Cricket Connects Advisory Board.
This is an independent group that will discuss the challenges and problems facing the game in a meeting to be held at Lordโs on June 7 and 8. Jay Shah officially took over as ICC chairman on December 1 next year.
MCCโs Announcement of the New Team
The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), the governing body of cricket, announced the formation of this new team on Tuesday. Many great personalities and intellectuals of the world of cricket will participate in this meeting.
The MCC issued a statement saying, โThis committee, which brought people closer strongly in its first year 2024, was very famous. It will be organized again this year. This event will be held during the final of the ICC World Test Championship between South Africa and Australia.โ
A total of 120 people attended this meeting in July last year. Apart from full members of ICC, associate members were also included in it. Apart from these, famous broadcasters, technology, coaches, and former and current international players were also included.

Replacing the MCC World Cricket Committee
The Connect Board has replaced the MCC World Cricket Committee. In this, many global issues of the game which are not given much importance for some reason will be included and discussed. The MCC committee was formed in the year 2006 and it was also an independent body.
The Connects Board will work in collaboration with the World Cricket Connect Group, which is headed by Mark Nicholas.
