Team India Arrives in New York for T20 World Cup

The first contingent of Team India has reached New York for the T20 World Cup to be played in America and West Indies from June 2. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video of the team’s arrival in New York on Monday. The team left for America from Mumbai airport on 25 May.

Team India will play a practice match against Bangladesh on June 1. The first batch included team head coach Rahul Dravid, captain Rohit Sharma, and many players and team staff. The second batch can leave today.

Key Players to Join Later

Kohli, Hardik, and Samson will join the team late Star batsman Virat Kohli, all-rounder Hardik Pandya, and wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson did not go with the first batch. Kohli has taken a break from the game after the IPL. Team vice-captain Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson will also join the team late in the night.

This time the T20 World Cup will be played in West Indies and America from June 2. The inaugural match will be between America and Canada. The Indian team will play its first match against Ireland on June 5 in New York.
