Mumbai – 2023 has been a great year for cricket team India. Team India got what they wanted in the year 2023 apart from the World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup trophy.
It was Australia who defeated Team India in the World Test Championship final and the ODI World Cup final to defeat the dream of becoming the world champion.
Now Team India is going to forget the defeat and enter the new year with the intention of doing a great performance in 2024. Team India will play around 50 matches in the New Year. Before that let us know how many matches Team India is going to play in January only.
Team India is currently on a tour of South Africa. Team India will play the first match of the New Year and the last match of this tour against South Africa.
The second match of this tour and Test series will start from January 3. After that, Team India will return to India after completing the tour of South Africa.
After the South Africa tour, Team India will play a T20I series against Afghanistan at home. This is going to be a T20 series. This series of total 3 matches will start from 11th January.
The final match will be played on January 17. Team India’s World Cup campaign will begin in earnest with this T20 series. This year T20 World Cup is in 2024 so T20 series is important for all the teams.
After the series against Afghanistan, there will be a Test series between Team India and England. England will tour India for this Test series. The first match of the 5-match Test series will be played in Hyderabad from January 25.
