IPL 2024 – Mumbai hosted the IPL 17th season’s mini auction in Dubai on December 19, involving 72 players. Some players received double or triple their expected amounts and set records, while others settled for the base price.
Notably, a player earned over 10 crores in this auction. Just three days later, the player received more good news – a significant team responsibility.
West Indies prepares for a 2-match Test series against Australia, with Craig Braithwaite leading the Windies. Star player Alzari Joseph has been appointed vice-captain for the Test series during Australia’s tour.
Alzari Joseph fetched Rs 11.50 crore at the auction and joined RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore).
Alzari received more money than expected and became the fifth most expensive player in the auction. Having previously played for Mumbai Indians, Alzari boasts a record of 20 wickets in 19 IPL matches.
Windies have introduced 7 new players to the team for the upcoming test series against Australia, including Zachary McCassie, wicketkeeper Tevin Imlach, all-rounder Justin Greaves, Kewam Hodge, Kevin Sinclair, Akeem Jordan, and Shamar Joseph.
