Team India Secures Spot in Super 8 with Victory Over USA
Team India led by Rohit Sharma won the 25th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 against the United States team by 7 wickets. USA challenged Team India to 111 runs for victory. Team India completed this challenge by losing 3 wickets in 18.2 overs. The duo of Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dubey became the architects of Team India’s victory. This was India’s third win in a row. India has entered the Super 8 with this win.

A Rocky Start and a Steady Recovery
Team India was in a precarious position while chasing 111 runs. Mumbaikar Saurabh Netrawalkar got Virat Kohli out for a golden duck. So Saurabh also dismissed Rohit Sharma for 3 runs and showed the way out of the field. So it was a disappointing start for India. But then Rishabh Pant and Suryakumar Yadav shared a partnership of 29 runs for the third wicket. Rishabh then returned after scoring 18 runs in 20 balls. After Rishabh got out, Shivam Dubey came into the field.

Shivam Dubey and Suryakumar Yadav shared an unbeaten partnership of 67 runs in 67 balls. Both Shivam and Surya hit big when they got the chance with singles and double runs during this partnership and took Team India to victory. Surya scored 50 not out with 2 sixes and 2 fours in 49 balls. Shivam scored an unbeaten 31 off 35 balls with 1 six and 1 four. Saurabh Netrawalkar took 2 wickets for the USA. Ali Khan took 1 wicket.
