In the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, the USA team defeated Pakistan by 5 runs in the Super Over. The USA challenged Pakistan to score 19 runs to win. But in front of the bowling of Marathmola Saurabh Netravalkar, Pakistan could score only 13 runs after losing 1 wicket. This is the second time the USA has won this tournament. USA vs PAK: Super Over Highlights

Iftikhar Ahmed and Fakhar Zaman came from Pakistan to play the Super Over to chase the 19 runs given by the United States to win. Saurabh Netravalkar from the USA came to bowl the Super Over. Saurabh bowled a dot ball on the first ball. Then Pakistan hit a four on the second ball. After this Saurabh bowled a wide ball. On the third ball, Saurabh came back and got Iftikhar Ahmed caught by Nitish Kumar. Nitish took a wonderful catch. After Iftikhar was out, Shadab Khan came to the field.

Now Pakistan needed 14 runs in 3 balls to win. Saurabh again bowled a Y ball. So now Pakistan needed 13 runs in 3 balls. Pakistan hit a four on the fourth ball. The umpire signaled LB+4. So now 9 runs were needed in 2 balls. Saurabh gave 2 runs on the fifth ball. So now Pakistan needed 7 runs on the last ball to win. But Saurabh bowled the last ball cleverly and gave only 1 run. In this way, the USA won the Super Over by 5 runs and created history. Saurabh brilliantly saved 19 runs. Saurabh took 1 wicket for 13 runs.

Earlier in the Super Over, America’s Aaron Jones and Harmeet Singh scored 18 runs. Pakistan’s experienced bowler Mohammad Amir bowled 9 balls in the super over. Amir scored 4, 2, 1, 1+WD, 1, 1+WD, 2, 2+WD and 1+W runs respectively in 9 balls.

Match Tied in Regulation Time:

Chasing Pakistan’s 160 runs to win, America needed 15 runs in the last over. The match had reached a colorful turn. The match reached the last ball. USA needed 5 runs to win, there was no option other than six. But Nitish Kumar hit a four and the match score was tied. Both Pakistan and America could score only 160 runs in 20 overs.
