Royal Challengers Bengaluru has shared a video on its official social media account, in which Rajat Patidar said, ‘I am your captain Rajat Patidar. Many legends have captained RCB and I feel honored that now in the upcoming season, I will be seen doing the same. My captaincy is a bit different. I am a calm person and I do not rush in difficult situations I feel that this is my strength.

Many Indian and foreign experienced players are present in the team and I will get to learn a lot from them. I am very happy that RCB fans have given me a lot of love and support over 4 years. I feel happy that I play for RCB. My journey has also been very up and down.’

Rajat Patidar’s Journey in IPL
The RCB captain further said, ‘I start in 2021. This was my first year at RCB in IPL. I got opportunities but then I was not included in the team in the auction. However, the team included me again as a replacement. I hoped that a lot of good things are going to happen to me in the future. I feel happy that RCB gave me a second chance.
In 2023, I got injured and then I had to sit out. There have been many ups and downs in the journey of my cricketing career. I felt very good about the way the fans supported me.
I made a comeback in 2024. It is not so easy for any player to make a comeback. I had faith in myself and this is my strength. When we were very low in the 2024 season, I had faith in myself and then we qualified. We would like to perform brilliantly again in the upcoming season.
