Will Shami Play 3rd T20 in Rajkot?

Before the third T20, questions have started arising whether Shami can get a chance in Rajkot. Indian teamโ€™s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak answered this.

Sitanshu Kotak said that there is no concern about the fitness of fast bowler Mohammed Shami but the decision on his playing will be taken by captain Surya and head coach Gautam Gambhir. Shami did not play in the first two T20 matches due to fitness.

Kotak said, โ€œShami is fit but I cannot take a decision about whether he will play or not. There will be a strategy for Shami in the upcoming matches and ODIs as well but coach Gautam and captain Surya will take the decision.

There is no problem with fitness.โ€ Shami had an ankle operation in February last year, after which he was away from cricket. After this, he made a comeback in Ranji Trophy last year.
