Yash Dayal Banned in UP T20 League: Fast bowler Yash Dayal, who recently played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League 2025, is now in serious legal trouble. Dayal is facing the threat of arrest after being accused of sexually assaulting a minor. A case has been registered against him at the Sanganer Sadar police station in Jaipur.

Yash Dayal Banned in UP T20 League After Fresh Allegations

Following these allegations, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has banned him from taking part in the upcoming UP T20 League. Dayal was bought by Gorakhpur Lions for ₹7 lakh, but due to the ongoing case, he will not play for them this season. The league begins on August 17, and the Lions’ management has said they will wait for an official order from UPCA before making a final decision.

The trouble began on June 21 when a woman filed a complaint accusing Dayal of cheating and breaking a promise to marry her after a five-year relationship. She alleged that Dayal caused her emotional and physical trauma and sexually assaulted her. An FIR was registered against him in this case.

Recently, a second FIR was filed in Jaipur by another woman, now 17 years old, claiming that Dayal had sexually abused her when she was a minor. She alleged that Dayal emotionally blackmailed and tortured her for two years, promising to help her start a cricket career in return for sexual favours.

Uncertain Future for RCB’s IPL Winner

Dayal had an impressive IPL 2025 season with RCB, taking 13 wickets in 15 matches and helping his team win the title. However, these legal issues have put his cricket career in serious doubt.

If the charges are proven, Dayal could face severe legal punishment and a long suspension from cricket. For now, his focus will likely be on defending himself in court, while fans and the cricketing world wait to see how this case unfolds.
