Yuvrajโ€™s All-Round Brilliance

Speaking on the show Unfiltered by Samdish, Yograj said, for our country, if Yuvraj Singh had died of cancer and won the World Cup for India, I would have been a proud father. I am still very proud of him. I have told him this on the phone as well. I wanted him to play even when he was spitting blood. I told him, donโ€™t worry, you will not die. Win this World Cup for India.

Despite Yuvrajโ€™s major contribution to Indiaโ€™s two World Cup victories in 2007 and 2011, Yograj feels that he did not reach his potential and could have become a better cricketer. Let us tell you that after India won the World Cup in 2011, Yuvraj was named Player of the Tournament. He scored 362 runs in eight innings in the tournament at an average of 90.50 and a strike rate of 86.19, including four fifties and a century.

The left-hander won the Player of the Match award a total of four times during the event and whenever the team was in trouble, he always stood up and helped the team.
