Team India Squad Update: Now a big update has come about Rohit Sharma, who was injured while fielding in the second ODI against Bangladesh. He has been ruled out of the first Test match against Bangladesh.


There have been many changes in the Indian team squad for the Test series against Bangladesh. Indian team captain Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the first Test match due to injury. This has been confirmed by the BCCI. Abhimanyu Easwaran has been included in the team in place of Rohit Sharma.



In the information shared by the BCCI, it has been clarified that Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the first Test match due to a left thumb injury. He has met an expert in Mumbai regarding the injury. Due to the injury, he has been given proper instructions so he will not be available for the first Test against Bangladesh. However, no information has been given by the BCCI regarding his presence in the second Test match it has been said that the medical team of the BCCI will decide later.


In the absence of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul will lead the Indian team. Cheteshwar Pujara has been made the vice-captain of the Indian team. Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja have been ruled out of the Test series against Bangladesh. Both players have not been able to recover from their injuries.

Fast bowler Navdeep Saini has got a place as a replacement for Mohammed Shami. Saurav Kumar has been included in the team in place of Ravindra Jadeja. The 2-Test series against Bangladesh is going to start in Chittagong from December 14. The selection committee has also included fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat for the Test series. Unadkat is returning to Team India after 12 years. Seeing his excellent performance in domestic matches, he has been given this opportunity.
