Young Players Likely to Get a Chance
After the Test series against Bangladesh, Team India will play a Test series at home against New Zealand in October. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant can therefore be rested for the T20I series against Bangladesh. Therefore, chances are more for young players to get opportunities. If Rishabh Pant is rested, the wicketkeeper’s spot could be seen squarely. Sanju Samson may be the selection committee’s first choice for Pant’s seat. Also as second wicket keeper one can be selected from both Jitesh Sharma and Ishan Kishan.
Ishan Kishan has been selected for the Irani Trophy tournament. So there is doubt about Ishaan’s selection. Also, since the Irani Trophy will be played, it is clear that some players will get a chance in this T20I series.
