Young Players Likely to Get a Chance
After the Test series against Bangladesh, Team India will play a Test series at home against New Zealand in October. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant can therefore be rested for the T20I series against Bangladesh. Therefore, chances are more for young players to get opportunities. If Rishabh Pant is rested, the wicketkeeper’s spot could be seen squarely. Sanju Samson may be the selection committee’s first choice for Pant’s seat. Also as second wicket keeper one can be selected from both Jitesh Sharma and Ishan Kishan.
Ishan Kishan has been selected for the Irani Trophy tournament. So there is doubt about Ishaan’s selection. Also, since the Irani Trophy will be played, it is clear that some players will get a chance in this T20I series.
Abhishek Sharma’s Possible Comeback
Explosive opener Abhishek Sharma, who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, could make a comeback in the T20I series against Bangladesh. Abhishek was not selected for the T20I series against Sri Lanka. So Abhishek may get a chance against Bangladesh. Also, if both Shubman and Yashasvi are rested for this series, who will open with Abhishek? Such a question arises on this occasion. Because the Irani Trophy has been organized between October 1 and 5.
Ruturaj Gaikwad has the responsibility of leading the Rest of India in this tournament. So this series will be held from October 6. So it is clear that Ruturaj will not play the entire series or at least the first match. Who will be the opening pair? There is still a question mark in this regard. So all the questions will be answered only after the BCCI selection committee announces the team. So cricket fans will have to wait for that.
