MUM vs ODI: The Mumbai team has won the Ranji Trophy match 2024-2025 against Odisha. Mumbai beat Odisha by an innings and 103 runs. Shreyas Iyer’s double century and Siddesh Lad’s unbeaten 169 runs helped Mumbai reach 600 in the first innings.
Then skipper Ajinkya Rahane declared the first innings at 602 for 4 in 123.5 overs. The Mumbai team’s bowlers followed up by bowling out 285 runs in Odisha’s first innings. But Odisha could not do anything special even in the second innings. Mumbai won by bowling out Odisha for 214 runs in the second innings. Shams Mulani contributed a lot to Mumbai’s victory. Shams Mulani took 5 wickets in both innings Shams took 6 wickets in the first innings and 5 in the second innings for a total of 11 wickets.
Outstanding Performance by Shams Mulani
Odisha scored 285 all out in 94.3 overs in the first innings. Sandeep Patnaik scored 102 runs for Odisha. But he did not get the expected support from the other side. 3 of Odisha’s top 5 batsmen were dismissed for zero. Swastik Samal, Govinda Poddar and Biplab Samantare came and went. Opener Anurag Sarangi scored 39 runs. Karthik Biswal 22, Debbrat Pradhan 45, Asirwad Swain 37, and Harshit Rathod contributed 23 runs.
Both of them could not even reach double figures. Shams Mulani took 6 wickets from Mumbai. Himanshu Singh dismissed all three. While Shardul Thakur took 1 wicket. As Odisha’s first innings ended on 285 runs, Mumbai followed on and forced them to bat again.
Odisha’s second innings ended on 214 runs in 72.5 overs. India won by an innings and 103 runs. Asirwad Swain top scored 51 runs for Odisha in the second innings. Apart from that, none of the Mumbai team bowlers allowed more than 45 runs. Shams took 5 wickets and Himanshu Singh 4 wickets from Mumbai in the second innings. Royston Dyce contributed well by taking one wicket.

MUM vs ODI: Mumbai’s Strong Batting
Before that, Odisha won the toss and forced Mumbai to bat. Mumbai took full advantage of this opportunity. Mumbai lost their first wicket for 19 runs. Ayush Mhatre was dismissed for 18 runs. Mumbai then lost 2 consecutive wickets for 154 runs. Angkrish Raghuvanshi was out for 92 and Ajinkya Rahane was out for zero. Then Shreyas Iyer and Siddhesh Lad shared a record partnership for the fourth wicket. Both made a partnership of 354 runs.
Harshit Rathod broke this pair. Shreyas Iyer scored 233 runs off 228 balls with 24 fours and 6 sixes. Siddesh Lad and Suryansh Shendge both shared an unbeaten partnership of 94 runs for the fifth wicket. Captain Ajinkya Rahane then declared the innings. Siddesh scored an unbeaten 169 off 337 balls with the help of 17 fours. While Suryansh Shedge scored 79 runs in 36 balls. Biplab Samantare took 2 wickets from Odisha. While Suryakant Pradhan and Harshit Rathore both took 1 wicket each.
