Indian star female cricketer Deepti Sharma has been appointed as the Deputy Superintendent of Police of Uttar Pradesh. Officially, she has achieved this prestigious feat. The 27-year-old all-rounder was given this honour during a ceremony held in Moradabad. She dreamed of serving the country in her childhood and has had the opportunity to do so both on and off the field. A new journey began for her in the uniform of the DSP.
Many prestigious posts are currently being given to encourage young Indian cricketers. Deepti was appointed in this sequence. Indian cricketers being honoured with the role of police for their sports skills inspires them towards sports. Just last year, fast bowler Mohammad Siraj was given the post of DSP in Telangana. He achieved this achievement after Indiaโs T20 World Cup. Deepti Sharma was also honoured with a cash prize of Rs 3 crore and the post of DSP by her home state government. She took 6 wickets against West Indies and improved her ranking in ICC.

Deepti Sharmaโs father, Bhagwan Sharma, and her brothers Sumit and Prashant were present during the induction ceremony. It was an emotional moment. Wearing her crisp khaki uniform, Deepti met the professionโs officials.
After taking office, Deepti Sharma expressed her happiness on social media and thanked the Uttar Pradesh government. She described the role of DSP as a proud milestone. Thanking the Uttar Pradesh government, she wrote, โI am very grateful to have achieved this feat! I would like to thank my family from the bottom of my heart, whose unwavering support and blessings have been my driving force. Deepti Sharmaโs spectacular performance in 2024:
With the arrival of 2025, she was awarded with a new achievement. Her performance in cricket in 2024 was excellent. She dominated the ICC Womenโs T20 team by taking 30 wickets at an average of 17.80, in which two of her matches are important. One is the match-winning 3/13 against Nepal and the other is a brilliant performance of 3/20 against Pakistan.
